$1,800,000 (Partial) Settlement (Kings County)

29 year old married resident of Manhattan presents to the ER for various complaints. A CT scan is performed and shows a suspicious lesion in the kidney, but the hospital fails to advise the patient of same and fails to send the CT scan report to the patient's primary care doctor. Two years later after a long, painful battle, the patient is diagnoses with metastatic kidney cancer and succumbs to her disease in late 2010.

$2,000,000 Settlement (Middlesex County, NJ)

A young 29 year old New Jersey wife and mother developed bleeding after giving birth to a stillborn. Due to a failure of her health care providers to timely and properly manage the bleeding, she went into hemorrhagic shock, cardiac arrest and suffered permanent brain damage.

$2,200,000 Settlement (Suffolk County)

A 37 year old Long Island resident, wife and mother of two minor children underwent gastric bypass surgery in August 2005. Due to the failure of her health care providers to timely diagnose and treat post-operative complications, she became septic and died two weeks after her surgery.

$2,500,000 Settlement (Queens County)

A 61 year old native of Queens underwent gastric bypass surgery. Due to a failure of her health care providers to timely diagnose and treat a post-operative leak, she endured eleven (11) months of unnecessary pain and suffering prior to her untimely death.

$7,995,579 Verdict (Kings County)

The verdict was obtained on behalf of the wife and two children of a 47 year old man who died following 10 weeks in the hospital following coronary artery bypass surgery. The jury found that the surgeons did not properly control the patient's glucose levels following surgery. This was the third highest medical malpractice verfict in New York State in 2010.

$1,500,000 Settlement (Albany County)

The result was obtained on behalf of the husband and two children of a 39 year old woman who died after her cardiologist failed to order a thallium stress test in response to her signs and symptoms. The case settled just prior to summations.

$2,100,000 Settlement (Nassau County)

This result was obtained on behalf of a gentleman who underwent a simple, laparoscopic procedure to have a kidney stone removed. Due to a failure of his health care providers to monitor a post-operative bleed while in the recovery room, the patient went into hemorrhagic shock and suffered brain damage.
